Mods you hated?

A month after I bought the car (1995), I sold the set of stock rims for $100 and bought a set of American rims....what the hell was I thinking? The rims were heavy as hell and they literally flaked off its coating...sold it 3 months later.

2) When out and bought 17" rims w/ 40 series tire. Sure looked nice for the first months, but after that, got bent all over the place...keep it until my mechanic told me: "Your rims are fucked...I can't balance it anymore"...urghh..went back and settled for stock 15" GSR rims (1999 model).

3) Incorrectly installed the ITR swaybar..ripped the shit out of my car.

4) Bought Eurolite bulbs, blue/green whatever colored bulbs, PIA superwhite bulbs...all useless...Finally settle down with a set of real HID lights..Aaahhhh!

5) Tanabe G-Medallion full exhaust...loud as f*ck! Sold it in 3 months...settle for stock ITR exhaust (God, I want a Mugen exhaust system please!!)

I wouldn't say hated, but utterly indifferent about performance wise, the JR BTC. Money for nothing at 6 psi.

I slid mine right over the needles.... why did you take your needles out?

I had piece of shit gauges(35$ on ebay) that were not cut right. Popped the needle off on the temp gauge 74$ per Acura. Black center caps kept the gauges from moving. stuck at 0 rpms and 0 mph.

An akimoto intake on my 1.5l 88 crx dx (in 95).. it did nothing but make noise, and was blue.. I was also told by the guy that sold it to me that "oh thats good for 10-15hp on that motor!" I guess its the same as lightspeed's header LOL, quote:"20-25 hp to the WHEELS!"

1. The DC Rear upper bar... as Holden says, POS. But, if Mr. Holden you would be so kind, what is the URL for the DC/Home Depot special??

2. That's it. Have been lucky. Everything else works OK...

Oh, the Mugen thermostat/cap. $$$$$$$$. But, if you are beating on your car, they are great. At idle in hot weather, not so great (leave your A/C on in traffic; makes both fans spin all the time and keeps your motor cool). So, was it worth the cash? No. But I like them. Besides, I get to say that I have Mugen parts on my car

I LOVE MY DC SHIFTER. So there.

Evil evil Mugen thermostat. Didn't open and caused a perfectly good coolant hose to burst.

Hmm.. what else. Evil evil Comptech cat back exhaust. Developed a nice little crack right at the resonator.

Oh yes.. Evil evil Air Mass headers. Support bracket does NOT line up

I'm sure I could go on.. but work calls.

For the strut bar fix, remove the SC bar, bolts and washers (leave the brackets) and replace them with a 1" square box aluminum bar from home depot (cut to proper length). Drill holes in it and use appropriate bolts, washers and nuts. You're done.
